All Ausgrid and Endeavour energy Electricity Metering (EM)  access areas require Abloy restricted locking systems to be installed in there network areas.

These locks permit access by the customer with a pass key and authorised Ausgrid and Endeavor staff with there master key.

Installation on all new sites to electrical,water and gas meter rooms.

All new sites requiring Ausgrid or Endeavour energy master keyed Abloy locks to be installed for EM Utilities locking system.

The EM locking system must also be installed when replacing existing damaged or faulty locks or cylinders to the current Abloy utility key system.

Technology and Security

• The EM locking system uses Abloy Protec restricted lock which includerim,oval,PD and padlocks for commercial and residential applications.
• All master keys are protected by world-wide patents and cannot be duplicated without the correct authorisation. Superior type master-keying possibilities are also available.
• All EM locks can also be keyed to allow access by other electricity distributors, water, gas and telecommunication authorities.
• Universal master keys of these locking systems are restricted to Ausgrid and Endevour energy staff.
